For all folk in the Freedom movement, including but not limited to – Derrick Broze, The Off Guardian and any other freedom movement folk that censor, moderate, block – stop doing it – please. You can’t have rules for thee and not for me. The “freedom” community censors, moderates, blocks opposition whether provoked or not. It’s extremely hypocritical and you destroy your reputation and you hurt the movement. You steer an agenda, just like you all complain about. It is hard to care when the freedom movement complains about being censored when multiple of you do the exact same thing.
When one puts oneself in a position of the public eye, preaches freedom of speech, so on and so forth, then, one must be able to navigate people that don’t agree w/ everything you say. Even if they could have come out the gate in a more mannered way, which it is understandable that can upset you; however, to be cruel about the person not the content, to block, etc. is not ok, especially given you preach freedom of speech and, some of you, nonviolent communication.
Also, freedom of speech does not require a certain formatting to be read. It’s hypocritical and arrogant to say I am not reading this long block of text if you can’t break it up in paragraphs. I didn’t realize freedom of speech required certain formatting. And, certainly do not post a reply to a post you admit you haven’t read.
You all need to be consistent. You can’t dictate that you be allowed freedom of speech, non-censorship, not being blocked, not being shadow-banned, when you are doing the exact same thing to your viewership.
When you think your way is the way, there is a problem. With some, if people don’t do as much as you, the reader is an idiot, but when the reader does more than you then the reader is a miserable idiot. Again, your way isn’t the only way and may not be enough. This is how some people in this movement speak to their readers. That’s not constructive conversation and is very close-minded. Part of the beauty of freedom of speech is to allow dialogue to uncover truth, to learn new things, to collaborate, to create new ideas, to realize wow – I can do more, etc. As you gain popularity, please keep your egos in check. They are getting out of control. There is an addiction to the adrenaline created from fighting or something is up – hopefully, nothing deceptive.
You make yourself “teachers”, “examples”; therefore, your responsibility is greater than the average Joe/Jane because you have further reach.
This is my kind, and yes honest/direct, request to the Freedom Folk to stop being hypocrites & be about freedom of speech, even when it doesn’t serve your agenda. Again, this is NOT about anything I witnessed Ryan do, as I explained above.
I hope this inspires positive change in the freedom movement because it is a BLOW to the whole freedom movement, when one of us is not consistent with what we want.
